They produced five children, three of whom were still alive when they emmigrated to the United States in 1890(or 1893,depending on who told the truth on the census reports) . My Grandfather, Robert , was born 7-17-1883 in Stralsund. Robert married a woman named Catherine Schutz in Chicago, Ill. which is where Theodor settled his family and the rest of the Usedoms known to me also originated.
Until I started this research in 1999, we believed we were the only Usedoms in America. 

Since then i have found three more branches around the country and I am putting together a attempt to get all of them together in one place to meet and swap stories.
